TWO sisters were threatened with stones and had their bags snatched as they prayed at their mum's grave.

The thugs took their handbags and threatened to "smash their faces in".
A third sister, Sharon Mulcahy, said Caroline, 38, and Anne- Marie, 25, were threatened with "two massive stones".

"It is the older people I am worried about - I see them myself every day going up there with their handbags." Earlier this week, councillor Maria Byrne called for CCTV and improved lighting at the cemetery to prevent car theft, vandalism and drinking.
The Stevenson family have visited their mother Ann's grave every day since she died last Christmas Day.
Roxboro gardai are appealing for information from the public to help them in their investigation.

A spokesman said the incident happened at 5pm on Monday.
He added: "Two youths, aged around 13 and 15, one on a bike and both of them wearing baseball caps, approached the two women. They made off with a handbag and a purse."
